do not be deterred that hotel is not quite in the centre of the old town..it is only about a ten minute walk to Wawel district and another 5 to 10 minutes to the main square of Krakow. One of the better buffet breakfasts although to get hot scrambled eggs that are supposedly included in the breakfast (and hotel cost) it is a bit difficult as waiter is not often around as everything else is self serve.

The hotel warned us about a "wedding party" to be hold on the third night. So we cancelled it. It was very honest of them. Maybe we missed a good (Polish) party though... BTW cancelling one of three nights seemed pretty complicated... The staff was ok, with one lady at the desk learning (both English and the job) being supervised by another... Funny but not the most efficient... But you have to learn sometime... Parking is easy and safe, don't bother using the hotel parking (far away and at an extra charge). Area is excellent.

Hotel kazimierz, Miadowa Street, Krakow The hotel situation is very good. It is situated in the old Jewish quarter. There are two nearby squares with lots of bars and restaurants. It is only a short walk to the Old Town and a short tram ride to the station. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast lasts a long time 7.00am to 11.00am and offers a lot of variety. However the hotel is old. Some of the rooms are small and oddly shaped. Ours had no room even for a chair. The sheets are thin and the towels thin and rough. Avoid the rooms low down on the front of the hotel if you wish to sleep. Noisy wedding parties with loud live music are booked until 5.00am.
