"a little gem of a hotel"Posted: Wed, Dec 31 1969Value:
3After reading some of the reviews on this hotel i was slightly worried. I had read that the front rooms were noisy and as my husband and i are light sleepers i emailed the hotel direct and asked them for a back room in the quiet area. They answered my email the same day and also arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport for about ?14.
On arrival at the hotel we were given the room as requested and the young lady on reception was really pleasant right through our stay there.
The breakfast was good with lots of choice and the dishes were constantly being filled up when empty. The staff here were pleasant and polite too.
We booked the Auschwitz tour with the reception desk and it worked out very well. It is emotional but it is also part of our history . You cannot go to Poland without visiting here.
We found eating out so cheap. The iced coffees were to die for! Find the Cafe Europejska in the square and try one. We found that a meal with a couple of drinks was less than ?10 for the two of us, and it was all good quality food too.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. You couldnt get any nearer to the square if you tried.
