4From the road the hotel doesn't look anything special, but once inside we were pleasantly surprised. Clean and spacious, the staff were very professional. polite and friendly, all spoke some English.
The room had enough space, although for some reason we had a single bed as well as the double bed for the 2 of us!
Room clean, bathroom looked new, the room had a TV (without any English channels!), hairdryer, fan etc and was cleaned daily.
Our room was at the front and the trams on the road were noisy but we didn't have any trouble sleeping (even with the window open) on the comfy beds.
Talking to other guests the rooms at the back are worse for noise as they overlook a car park where the mini bus / coaches are parked and the drivers hang out there, talking and leaving the engines running until the early hours!
The hotel is 2 minutes walk to the square and is ideally located for just about everything. Wawel Castle is 5 minutes walk as well.
A great restaurant just a few doors down from the hotel (on the left hand side as you face hotel) is the Wine House, lovely garden at the back, great service and fantastic food, and very reasonably priced.
Auschwitz trip is a must, can't recommend the Communist Tour run by the Crazy Guides as they never turned up after we booked them.
