What Travellers Like

  • Perfect position, perfect rooms and perfect price. It is a restored palace and the rooms are absolutely lovely and quite stylish. The breakfast each morning is fantastic if you love the continental meats and pickles and cheeses Eastern Europe is famous for. Just a stroll away from the town square and where all the fab restaurants are. It's in a medieval basement so quaint and romantic and oh my god the food is the best french food outside of France.. • The room was a great size with high ceilings and a large and comfortable bed. A well stocked mini bar was a nice touch especially as it was quite cheap also. The bathroom in the room only had a shower and no bath but it was fine for us. The staff were really helpful with directions and booking tours.. Read review

  • The staff were extremely polite and helpful in all respects and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable and pleasant. The cold breakfast buffet was amazing - a huge choice of everything you could possibly want (including several things I'd never seen or tried before! We were on the 2nd floor and only had roof windows, so no view at all (but it was December and dark anyway). There was no kettle in rooms but I would not expect this anyway in a hotel outside the UK. They brought tea and coffee up to the room at any time, if you asked, for a couple of pounds. We never thought to eat dinner here as there are so many fantastic places in town. We booked through [--] and got an amaxingly cheap deal - about £240 for return flight from UK and 3 nights B& B at excellent hotel!. Read review

  • Bar was in the basement and was a rather small dark smoky place with a large TV playing sport and locals with laptops permanently taking advantage of the wireless internet. Locals are friendly, and mostly stunning! Food is exceptional and very inexpensive, recommend Rubenstiens in the Jewish quarter( in fact see how much a room is here) and Cheribines in the old town..
