Hotel de Paasberg - Ede, Netherlands 

Except for one cleanliness issue during our several visits to this hotel, this hotel has served us well during our many visits to Ede. It is centrally located, just a few blocks from the pedestrian mall, Ede-Centrum rail station and several nice restaurants. Some of the furnishings seem a bit old and I would have preferred a little bigger breakfast, but the place is comfortable and reasonably well maintained. The staff is super. Not many Americans visit Ede, most of the other guests seemed to be from Germany. Oma, the delightful Mrs. Gam's 98 year old grandmother, has an assisted living apartment just around the corner from this hotel. When we arrived in July 2007, after being evactuated from Heathrow and spending an unscheduled night in London, and missing my suitcase, we were handed a note telling us that Oma had fallen and broken her hip. The staff was most helpful in getting us to the hospital and helping me get reunited with my luggage.
