In the neighbourhood of De Lutte you can find a whole range of leisure possibilities. The hotel-restaurant De Lutt lies within a stone’s throw of the nature park ‘Het Lutterzand’, where you can see the river ‘De Dinkel’ winding through the landscape. De Lutte has also the ‘Arboretum Poortbulten’, a beautiful flora park where you can see rare trees and plants. In the neighbourhood of the hotel a lot of walking, bicycle and car routes are mapped out, which lead you along splendid woods, old farm yards and picturesque villages. The tourist town Oldenzaal lies on only a few minutes by car from our hotel. The town Ootmarsum is worth a visit, because of its old timbered houses and art galleries. You can also be introduced to Twentes’ culture, which is kept up by a lot of old customs. In the Easter time you can see a lot of Easter fires, and in the Advent time you can hear the ‘midwinter horn’ sound over Twente’s landscape. In the open-air museums of Losser and Ootmarsum you can learn more about the culture of Twente.
