Park Hotel - Cattolica, Italy 

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at The Park Hotel and had a wonderful time. The hotel is family run, on the sea front and caters mostly for Italians. The staff are very friendly abd helpful. The best thing about this hotel is the food. Every meal was a pleasure. Freshly cooked and very Italian! The evening meal started with a help-yourself Antipasti which was set out on long tables and consisted of griddled veg, fresh veg, salads, meats and pickled fish and lots more. This was followed by a choice of 3 different pasta or risotto dishes or a soup. Then a different fresh fish every day or 3 other choices of meat or ham, served with a small portion of potatoes and a veg and then all the wonderful desserts you would expect from an Italian restaurant, Tiramisu, Pannacotte etc and all the fresh fruit you can eat. Maybe the rooms are a bit dated. Our bathroom was definately ready for a refurb and the pool is quite small and can get crowded but don`t let that put you off. This hotel will give you a true taste of Italy! The resort caters mostly for families and is very crowded in the evenings with push chairs and extended families strolling around the fountains. We found everyone to be very friendly. I would love to go back, probably earlier or later in the year when it`s not so humid.
