Cezanne - Cannes, France     

We have just returned from 10 days at the Hotel Cezanne and found it a lovely place to stay. However I'd like to advise anyone thinking of hiring a car to beware of the underground car park - very very tight!!!!! My husband scraped the side of our hire car at the entrance and blew the clutch on the way out!! The rooms are very nice if a bit on the small side but we had 2 connecting rooms for ourselves and 2 daughters so we had double the storage space and of course 2 bathrooms. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side at 17 Euro each so after the first day we went to various cafes which are nearby. The location of the hotel is good but the walk down to the main part of town and the beach involves crossing a very busy dual carriageway. It's worth it though to reach Rue d'Antibes - the main shopping street! Speaking of the beach, it's really nice to go the hotel's private beach on the Croisette. The food in the restaurant is fantastic, but the "beach salesmen" get a bit annoying after the 20th time of saying "Non merci" to sunglasses! I'd read other reviews of the hotel complaining about noise levels but we didn't find any problems at all, in fact our 3rd floor room was very quiet.
