Hotel Windsor - Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, France 

A weird experience in a building which could be a lovely little hotel of its class. Biggest plus is cleanliness - faultless. Biggest minus is reception, bar & lounge close at 8pm and that is a nice area of the hotel. Have to let yourself in to the hotel after 8pm - bit tricky if you forget or mislay your keys and no-one to contact!! Also would not know how to contact staff if a problem (medical/fire say) after that time. Smallest TVs I've ever seen in any hotel. Staff not unfriendly but could be more proactive in showing interest. Room fine though decor badly in need of refurbishment. Breakfast adequate but lovely well decorated (otherwise unused) regency style dining room. Well positioned minutes from the beach and shops/restaurants etc. Repeat - with a little imagination and investment plus staff training could be a great place - just about adequate value for money, everything considered but couldn't recommend it.

This hotel has the most miserable manager we've ever come across, he hardly spoke a word to us only to say that we were too early and the room will be ages before it was ready and that the bar only opened for a short space of time and that was it. The room was old and tired and the only nice parts were the bathroom and breakfast room. It desperately needs a make over including the manager. Go somewhere else.
