Amarante Beau Manoir details:
The Amarante Beau Manoir is a paradise of harmony. After a complete renovation, the hotel Amarante Beau Manoir opens its door to a universe of reminiscent mood of Paris' Mediaeval Times. The lobby, reception and bar are made of wood and stone walls, furnished with comfortable armchairs, sofas, tables and consoles. Old tapestries and carpets contribute to the seduction and elegance of the hotel.
At the ground floor, a cyber area is at clients' disposal.
The downstairs vault at the Hotel Amarante Beau Manoir bosts a very beautiful arched room constructed with stucco ceilings and walls, typical for cellars in the old Paris.
A breakfast buffet is daily served in our French-style vaulted cellar, complete with freshly baked brioche, croissants, jam, orange juice, coffee and tea.
Antique interiors in the guest rooms as well as in the public areas of this hotel, with details such as this magnificent 18th century Aubusson tapisserie, make this hotel worth of its surroundings.

I have stayed here many times due to convenience and nothing more.
The rooms are dark and gloomy - the closets need lighting.
Staff are fairly friendly.
Breakfast is wonderful - but then , this is Paris - home of good cooking!

I'm a female in 30's and just stayed for 4 nights with my boyfriend. I was a bit nervous having read the reviews but I have to say this hotel was quite pleasant. Undoubtedly the biggest plus is the location of the Hotel. It provides an excellent base for exploring all the usual attractions of Paris. The Madeleine area itself is particularly beautiful, with a collection of specialist shops and eating options and gardens. The Metro connection is v accessible and Lourve, Concorde, Seine,Champs-Elysees etc are all very reachable (10-15 mins)by walking. The staff were reserved but friendly and helpful when needed. The room, while compact ,was clean and the shower had heat and pressure although was handheld from the bath. We didn't use breakfast options as too many nice cafe options in Paris to hang around, so can't comment on that aspect. Bar was just a little 'corner' point like a home bar in a nice traditional dining room area. Weaker points overall for me were overly dark atmosphere in bedroom even for French Boutique hotel and lack of ' extras' such as plug points and mirrors. In similar fashion to the room, the elevator is 'tight', but in a typically French way. It posed no problem for us 30 somethings.Plus points were location, v comfortable beds, and general atmosphere. Make no mistake, this is a typical 'boutique hotel' which may lack some of the finer modernities, however ,overall, the location, and price make it a pleasant experience and I would be happy to stay again.
