We have just returned from a great weekend break at this hotel . We stayed in the newer section and found the room to be excellent with a nice big clean bathroom and a view of the ruined Abbey .Breakfast was great with a good selection of cereals, fruit juices, fresh fruit etc and of course the full irish which is self service. Dinner was excellent we had a slightly different menu than the a la carte but still had nice selection of courses ( we stayed using the supervalu break ).The dining area it self is very cosy.
The leisure centre was good - the gym seemed well equiped with a range of machines although we did not use it.The lockers in the changing area could do with re vamp as some of the doors were missing but the shower and toilet area was spotless and the pool area was beautiful.
Over all the staff were all very nice and helpfull, the bar and loby area are very comfortable and I would recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing break .

Abbey Hotel Roscommon is a delightful retreat for a weekend away. Relax in the bar which has an abundance of comfy sofas to curl up in and watch the world go by.
We had breakfast and dinner and both were delicious with friendly staff.
Leisure facilities are excellent.
When in the area go to Boyle and visit Lough Key Forest Park for some wonderful walks, then on to Carrick-on-Shannon for coffee!
Really relaxing!
