Eden au Lac - Echternach, Luxembourg 

My wife and I stayed for a week in Eden au Lac. The location is superb : on a hillside, just outside Echternach, with a nice view at the small city. The food is the best we have ever had : every evening a 5 course diner, with a very good balance and not too large portions. Some of the dishes were really very surprising : creative combinations. Wednesday evening there is a starters and dessert buffet and saturday evening a full cold and warm buffet : including lobster ! The service is very stylish : you are treated as a prince ! I can only comment about the room we booked : top floor with a large terrace and airco (not all rooms have airco). Fitness is very well equiped : many recent equipments. 2 large swimming pools : one inside, one outside. Hotel has a wellness center, but we didn't use it. You can debate whether the hotel is worth its 5 stars : I would rate them between 4 and 5. But it is certainly value for money, no doubt about it. We talked with some other guests : mostly belgians : some of them visit the hotel already for 25 years. The "average" guest was older than 50-60. But also families with small children. We certainly will go back !
