Stayed with 3 other bicyclists during June 2008. They could not be more accomodating at the Top Hotel. From our arrival at 11:00pm on a Friday until out departure early afternoon on Sunday everyone was friendly, helpful and accomodating. for example, they let us keep a room until middle afternoon on our last day so we could shower after our last day of cycling. Covered garage for our car/bikes was 5 min walk away (5 euro per day charge). Breakfast was nice (eggs, sausage and bacon as well as sliced meats/cheeses, choice of cereal and fruit as well). Only potential issues (minor) - 1) no A/C so could be quite warm on upper floors (5th)...but had fans available. Suggest maybe asking for a lower floor in summer? 2) very near train station...so possible to hear them..but was not an issue for me would stay there again without question.

The hotel was quite nice, the rooms were small, but since we didn't spend much time there except to sleep that was fine. very clean and nice people ran it. The city was easy to get around walking and the hotel was in walking distance from the train station (5 to 10 minutes). the ride down the rhein was very nice, but we decided to take the train back from rudesheim since the ride there from koblenz was 7 hours or so and it was very easy to find the train station and was much quicker getting back to koblenz. Cost was around 10 euros for the train.
