How to get from Schiphol to Hotel Roemer:

Taxi:
You will find a taxi stand in front of the arrival hall. Costs: appr. Euro 45.00. You will be in Hotel Roemer within 20 minutes. You can also contact the hotel, they can arrange a business taxi for Euro 35.00 one way, this is a fixed price and the driver will pick you up in the arrival hall (has to be booked in advance!). Public transport: Take the train from Schiphol-Airport to Amsterdam Central Station. Costs: appr. Euro 3.60 per person (single fare), travel time is 20 minutes. When you are leaving Central Station you can take a taxi to Hotel Roemer, costs appr. Euro 15.00. It is also possible to take tram number 1, 2 or 5 to the 'Leidseplein' which cost appr. Euro 2.40 per person. On the Leidseplein you see the 'Marriott' Hotel, on the left of the hotel is the Tesselschadestraat, walk down this street and then turn left into the Roemer Vissscherstraat.

Connexxion-shuttlebus will take you to Amsterdam within 40 minutes. Costs about Euro 13.50 per person (single fare). You can buy tickets at the KLM-desk or in the bus. You get off at the 'NH Amsterdam Centre Hotel'. Next to the Hotel is the Vondelstraat, walk down the street, take Tesselschadestraat and turn right in to the Roemer Visscherstraat.

From A2 Utrecht:
Coming from the A2, turn right at the first set of traffic-lights after the 'Utrechtsebrug' and follow the 'Amsteldijk' along the 'Amstel Canal'. Drive until you get to the T-crossing. Here you turn left the 'Stadhouderskade'. Pass three bridges. Turn left just before the 'Leidseplein', this is the 'Tesselschadestraat'. Take the 1st turn to the left in to Roemer Visscherstraat.

From A4 Schiphol Airport / The Hague:
Coming from the A4 (E10), you take the S-106 exit in Amsterdam. At the end of the exit, turn right. Continue straight on the roundabout 'Surinameplein'. You now pass the bridge and take a left turn and you are on the 'Overtoom'. Drive down the Overtoom (very long street) and turn right in to the 1e Constantijn Huygenstraat. Then take the second street to the left, this is the Roemer Visscherstraat.

From A1 Amersfoort-Diemen:
Coming from the Al (E-32), follow the signs 'Amsterdam Z.O.' and 'Schiphol'. Take the S-112 exit. You will enter the city at the 'Amstel Railway-station'. Follow the sign 'Centre'. You are on the 'Wibautstraat'. When you come to a large crossing at the 'Mauritskade', you turn left. Cross the 'Amstel Canal' and go straight on the 'Stadhouderskade'. From N5 Haarlem: From the 'Haarlemmerweg' turn right into the A10, direction 'Den Haag-Utrecht'. Get off at exit S-106. See for further directions the description under Schiphol Airport / The Hague.

Where to park your car:
In a guarded garage: In the Byzantium garage around the corner. If you park your car longer than 13 hours in a row, with a maximum of 24 hours in total, you can by a day-ticket (to be obtained at the cashier’s office near the entrance). Byzantium is a guarded garage and open 24 hours a day.
In the streets: In the street you pay during the following hours: 9.00 a.m. until 23.00 p.m. Sundays are free of charge.
