Hotel Manofa - Amsterdam, Netherlands

Well i was dreading going to Hotel Manofa, most of the reviews were awful, but our stay was surprisingly nice. We stayed on the second floor in a Quad room, which wasnt't huge, but seens as we were only there for 3 days it was sufficient to our needs. The room was clean and smelt ok and the beds were freshly made. We didnt sample the food from downstairs as we were not up in time!!!!!!!!!!! The staff at the hotel were very friendly and seemed happy to help, they were also do not mind you leaving your cases there on the day you leave. We weren't flying out till 10 at night, but we kept our cases in reception all day. Also they have an iron that they dont mind you using. The location was perfect, we were close to everything (train station, fast food restaurants, Cafes, Canal rides, Pubs). I would definately go to Amsterdam again, and would stay in this Hotel again

bad quality for price. The room was very small and not enough clean. The place in which the hotel is situated is very good. We met all kinds of people (guys and adults, europeans and others).

The only possible plus points for this hotel is location and the bed was comfortable. The shower unit was broken. Flooring tiles in the shower were broken and sharp. The lighting in the room was inadeqate (impossible to read). The window latch was broken and impossible to leave open. The room was tiny - more in keeping with a single. The breakfast room was dangerous with trailing wires. There was no indication as to what was available for breakfast and no service. Food ran out and was not replaced. There were insufficient plates and cutlery. The price vis a vis service and facilities was a complete rip off. I will not be staying again and would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Many sticks about forbidden to smoke was putted on walls. But, employees didn't respect these orders.

highlights: central location. bad side: room was small. paid quite high price compared to other hotels, maybe due to its central location. but price doesn't reflect the room at all. no hand towel and floor mat for the toilet.
