Hotel De Korenaer - Amsterdam, Netherlands     

One word describes this hotel, "DISGUSTING!". The room was filthy, smelled, and the linen was dirty. The pictures they show on their website is a complete fabrication. The rooms look nothing like what is on the site. And the worst part was me, my wife, and 10 month old son were sleeping and awoke to the sound of 2 mice running around the room trying to get into the trash cans and our luggage. When we informed the front desk, they just shrugged their shoulders and said it was from the construction across the street, not a care in the world. And YES, the reception desk is also the front desk at a resturant. You are walking between people while they are attempting to eat with your baggage and family just to get to your room (if you want to call it a room), PLEASE take my advice, take your family elsewhere when you go to Amsterdam, this place is UNSAT, UNSAFE, and UNCLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not stay at this hotel, no matter how cheap it may be! We spent one night at this hotel and it was the worst experience of my life. The rooms are tiny, smelly and covered in damp, the shower wasn't much better, in fact we couldn't even bear to use it! Also we had to put the duvet on the bed ourselves and when we done so we discovered it was covered in stains, disgusting. There is constant noise outside. The hotel reception is in the middle of a restaurant and we had to walk through the restaurant dragging out bags bumping into the diners on the way. The only good thing about the hotel is the location but that would not entice me to stay there again.
