my wife and i have just returned from 4 wonderfull days in amsterdam and we both loved this hotel, the rooms are not large but more then adiquit,warm and clean,serviced each day,the breakfast was filling and enjoyable, the staff made our holiday,will we stay here again (YES)11 out of 10, thank you all rob alex mckenzie

We stayed at the Botel 8,9 June, 2008. We arrived at 1300 and had to wait another hour for check in. We did go to the nearby restaurant which had good food. We checked into room 227. The shower did not drain, the front desk person did not care, but did offer to switch us to 235. No offer of assistance, no apologies, no compensation, etc. The rooms are small, but that is not a problem. Most staterooms on ships are the same size. They had lovely warm comforters on the bed, but it was 25 degrees C, so a sheet would have been nice. No top sheet on bed, just huge comforter. Then our confirmation stated breakfast included, but I did not have it printed out, silly me. They offered us breakfast at 10 euros per person, per night. Somehow, no breakfast is worth that much, especially since we were leaving too early the second day to even have had breakfast. The ferry takes about 10 minutes to get to the Centraal station, so it is rather inconvenient. Prices in Amsterdam are outrageously expensive, but no more Botel. Oh yes, the Private Spice channel was interesting................

Unfortunately this botel has moved from where it was moored and is now accessable by ferry that goes every hour (free) there are no shops or anywhere decent to get a drink,we paid over the odds ?105 per night and was told we would get a hot buffet,don`t be fooled they don`t do evening meals it refers to breakfast,which was a joke, boiled eggs (hard) bits of bacon & small sausages in a heated tin. When saturday arrived there was not enough to go around & the queues were a joke apart from that there is no seperate smoking area so you can enjoy someone elses second hand smoke,personally i was glad to get away from the place Amsterdam is nice but don`t be coerced into going here you`ll be making a big mistake .colin jones
