My husband and I saw a recommendation for this hotel in one of the travel books we purchased when planning our trip for Amsterdam. It said it was family friendly and cheap. It was close to a tram stop which was perfect, but unfortunately it was a bit far from all the things we loved to do the most while in Amsterdam. (New Market, De Waag, Red Light District). The good thing is that you can walk around Amsterdam very easily. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room which was great, we stayed a week and were getting tired of the same breakfast items, so we ventured out into the city for an "English Breakfast" once or twice. Rolls, meat and cheese slices, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, granola-type cereals and milk / orange juice were available every morning. Service was great, the women working the front desk were very helpful. We were able to arrange for an airport taxi - they did all of it for us. They had internet access available for a few Euros. Room was small, but adequate for what we needed. Bathroom was especially nice. TV with Dutch and BBC channels, and a clock. Very very comfortable beds. No air conditioning which didn't bother us because it was chilly enough without it. It was very quiet from Sunday to Tuesday, but we woke up Wednesday morning to the sound of screaming children. Maybe there was a daycare right next door (?). That was a bit annoying. Our room was facing the back yard, so we never heard the trams go by.
