Buenísima ubicación

Ideal para ir a dormir y desayunar, sin más complicaciones. Debido a su cercanía con Leidseplein es genial para cenar por esa zona y salir de marcha, pues es donde se concentra el movimiento nocturno. Los museos (Rijkmuseum y Van Gogh) están cerquísima y el centro a 15 minutos andando, también hay parada de tranvía al lado pero no vale la pena. El desayuno está bien, bufé libre más o menos variado teniendo en cuenta lo económico del precio en comparación con otros. Nosotros tuvimos mala suerte y nos tocó una habitación de la planta baja, y cuando digo baja es que las ventanas estaban al nivel de la acera, parecía un zulo :) son mejores las de las plantas de arriba, pero insisto, estaba limpio, cerca de Leidseplein y buen desayuno.

Clean Budget Hotel, Great Location

We stayed at Hotel De La Haye for one night in mid November. Its in a great location and is two minutes from the nearest tramstop (the line goes straight to the station). The guy checking us in was friendly and (unsuprisingly for a Dutchman) spoke excellent English. Our room was on the fourth floor and believe the hype, the stairs are steep and the hotel has no lift. However if you are able bodied and you can't carry your bag up the stairs, then you might want to rethink how you pack for your holidays. Our room was on large, clean and functional. We got what we paid for, a cheap hotel, one step up from a back packer hostel. The bed was comfy, the shower hot and the bathroom immaculately clean. Breakfast was excellent, the usual, continental style buffet but better than some others I've eaten. In summary, De La Haye is pretty Ronseal, it does what it says on the tin. If you don't turn up expecting a 5 * bungalow then it should meet expectations.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, it is in a good location and near lots of attractions, we had a room on the 3rd floor with a double and 2 singles (only 3 in party) the double beds mattress was to big for the base and so every time you sat near the edge you fell on the floor, we were on the side of building near the road but the noise was ok (well it is a city) I opened the curtains the first day and found myself looking at a naked man in a flat across the road. The breakfast was ok but do agree about the toaster, it is not big enough; the staff were very helpful and told us where we should go for the day. All in all it was clean enough and in a great spot and as they say “you gets what you pays for”
