- Pendy - Although I'm stating this without having experienced any of that possible problem because in autumn and winter, even on weekends, when we have stayed here, it has been rather quiet ( plus the windows are well insulated). One last point about the location, there is a tram that stops right near the hotel so you can easily get here from central station. The rooms themselves are modern (newly renovated), spacious, airy and clean. Although in our latest stay we were upgraded to an executive suite (perk of NH World membership and staff recognition), which is even more fantastic. That's also relatively easy to do because the staff is friendly and very helpful. Although we were slightly peeved with the maid service when despite leaving a tip our sheets were not changed.. - AgentSik007 - Not as flashy as some, but very clean, excellent staff who all speak English and at least another language besides Dutch. Breakfast is plentyful with a choice of two restaurants, one at the Caransa, and the other and bigger and very cosy at the Schiller across the Rembrandts Plein, one of the great nightspots in Amsterdam.. - XLA - 9 straight outside central station and got of right outside of the hotel, check in was quick and efficient. All got rooms on differnt floors, but all rooms were the same, and had the same view overlooking the side street. Rooms were exactly as the pictures someone has posted lower down, nice big beds with clean sheets, and different pillows can be ordered. Bathroom was clean and had a nice warm power shower, plenty of shampoos and toiletries. If you are 2 ladies travelling here and staying in a room together, then there is a special ladies room, which you can request, and it is filled with womens magazines, fluffy bath robes and loads more extra pampering kits.. 4The hotel is clean, modern smallish hotel with about 66 rooms. The hotel staff were very friendly and very accomodating. 4It is also in a great location with tram stop right outside the hotel. From the Central train station, just take tram 9 or 14 and get off at the Rembrandtplein stop.
