1.6We arrived at the Hotel France and was pleasantly surprised at the central position and the warm welcome from the reception guy. However, it went downhill from there on! Our room was no 802 and was literally in reception, there were no windows and the aircon did not work properly, it was like being in a box. We asked to be moved but the hotel was full! Then at 12am the noise started of people coming in and out of the hotel. Then at 4am the guy on reception put his tv on as loud as possible and we had to ask him to turn it down!!! The breakfast was served in the pub next door which was very dark and gloomy for breakfast. Food was okay though. The room was clean and the first reception guy was helpful. Position was great, central to everything. Probably best to specify room with window and preferably not in reception!
