Great little hotel right on the top edge of the red light district. Did not feel unsafe at all. Was the weekend of a festival, so place was absolutelu full! Our room was in the basement but clean, neat and tidy. Good size bathroom. No noise from outside as we were downstairs, so good nights sleep. Good aircon as well. Breakfast was hearty in the irish pub next door. Great little hotel for the price and location. Would stay there again.

Nettes Hotel, einige Zimme mit nicht zu öffnenden Fenstern (in einen Lichtschacht), aber alle Zimme mit Klimaanlage. Uns wurde auf Nachfrage problemlos in der 2 Nacht ein Zimme mit Blick auf die Gracht gegeben. Nett: Frühstück im anliegenden Pub

We arent`t recommending this hotel. When you take a room for three people you receive room without windows. Is it good for rats. When you want a small windows you have to pay for about 40eur/night more. When We will go again in Amsterdam We reserved accommodation in another hotel. This accomodation is`t good ratio between price and quaility. accommodation.

The hotel didn't offer a 3star-quality: Filthy rooms, questionable spreadsheets, unfriendly and uncosy breakfast at next-door-pub, very questionable quality of breakfast buffet. Very pricy hotel.

We arrived at the Hotel France and was pleasantly surprised at the central position and the warm welcome from the reception guy. However, it went downhill from there on! Our room was no 802 and was literally in reception, there were no windows and the aircon did not work properly, it was like being in a box. We asked to be moved but the hotel was full! Then at 12am the noise started of people coming in and out of the hotel. Then at 4am the guy on reception put his tv on as loud as possible and we had to ask him to turn it down!!! The breakfast was served in the pub next door which was very dark and gloomy for breakfast. Food was okay though. The room was clean and the first reception guy was helpful. Position was great, central to everything. Probably best to specify room with window and preferably not in reception!
