Our fish restaurant La Sirène, known throughout Amsterdam and its entire vicinity, has been under the inspired leadership of master chef Rob Blaauboer and his team for years. Naturally, only the best, environmentally friendly ingredients are used for preparing the delightful dishes.

La Sirène has its own outdoor café on the waterside with 74 seats. The outdoor café is open with good weather throughout the entire spring and summer season.

Unlike some other reviewers who had concerns about the location, I found the hotel to have reasonable access to the city. And there is a gas station mini-mart next door which is an excellent source for inexpensive drinks and snacks. Finally, the service provided at the hotel was excellent. The front desk and concierge were very helpful and polite, the room was maintained well, and the Le Meridien was clearly a 4* hotel in all respects. Given that the Le Meridien is less expensive than the Hilton and many comparable 4* hotels in the center of the city, I recommend staying here and saving money on the room.. Read review

My room was recently refurbished, quiet, and comfortable. I suspect others who have given this hotel a lower rating have had a room that has not been redone recently, but mine was exceptionally clean and comfortable.. Read review
