"Beautiful Hotel right on Dam square"

I stayed here with my boyfriend for about 5 days in Febuary. The hotel is right on Dam Square so close to the red light district and everything... The room, service and food was absolutly peferct... the only little thing though i found it beautiful...was that i could easily see my boyfriends point of view that for us it was a bit old fashioned looking.. for example the decoration and furnishings in the room were really old styled and could be made slightly more up to date looking...

This place was Phenomenal!!!!!!!

One of the best places I've stayed! My only problem was trying to pronounce the name! We were met by a very freindly doorman then ushered tot he front desk where the staff was super friendly! It was my birthday weekend and me and my friend were upgraded to an apartement! The apartment was beautiful! Very clean and really quiet! The location of the hotel is fantastic too. really close to the train, red light district, Anne Frank House, shopping, canal tours, cafes, etc. Could not have had a better expereince! Highly recommend this hotel!

We were disappointed to get an old room. We have the feeling that they give the old rooms to the people who get a promotion.

This is advertised as a five star hotel. How horribly astray this might lead you. GIven the location is awesome, but the accomidations are far from it. The bathroom door are swinging window shutters (does not close for privacy), the rooms are extremely small, service is unrepsonsive, decor is straight out of the executive 80's. Don't expect luxury, just expect 2 star rooms for a 5 star price.

Stayed in this hotel Late April 2009, wonderful experience. Very helpful, wonderful location. Would stay again.
