Malmaison Hotel Leeds details:
Located right in the centre of Leeds, this stylish, boutique hotel is the ideal base for you to explore the main sights and famous shopping that this city has to offer.
A stunning building of local historic interest, which was once a bus and tram company office, the hotel maintains its traditional and unique architecture, including the vast, vaulted ceiling in reception, and the quirky nature of the rooms, which come in all different shapes and sizes.
Decorated in subtle taupes and contrasting deep tones, Malmaison Leeds houses a fabulous brasserie, magnificently moody and stylish bar and a gym to work everything off in afterwards. All that, and there’s still the rest of this wildly exciting city to explore.
The Yorkshire Tourist Board’s Hotel of the Year, if you’re looking for something special, Malmaison Leeds is the place for you.
Business Facilities:
Whether you’re holding a one-to-one or an all day conference for up to 30, the Leeds Mal can play host to your meeting in the private dining room, or motivate staff on wine evenings, hosted by the Group Sommelier in the dedicated wine room. For a more informal meeting, why not meet in the bar? Try a cosy corner by the fire and an icy Pinot Blanc, and you’re in business. Or you could seal the deal in a quiet booth in the brasserie or even in the grandiose Chateau Mal.
The gym is the perfect tonic for those whose hearts didn’t beat fast enough when they sampled the brasserie, bar and extreme luxury of their rooms.
Gymtonic is fully-equipped with resistance and running machines, not to mention free weights.
And if you feel the need for speed out in the city, check out the jogging maps in your room; small but perfectly formed routes for runners of all shapes, sizes and flavours.

I booked the special weekend deal of B&B for ?119 as a treat for my girlfriends 30th.
She knew nothing of it until the day and she was thrilled to bits and we weren't disappointed.
Now niether of us are big hotel stayers but this was a great hotel with great rooms.
The hotel & rooms were spotless and furnished to the highest standard in deep purples, reds etc...
The bed was without doubt the most comfortable bed we'd both ever slept in, and we got up early at 9am for our full english brecky which was yummy and then afterwards went back to bed until 11.40, as check out was at 12. Which is just what you need after a night in Leeds and not getting in until 3am!
Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone except maybe families.
Can't wait until another birthday comes around!
Even if I do live 5 miles out of Leeds! he-he

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel to watch the England v South Africa Test. Room was on the fourth floor which was extremely quiet, and with the addition of the comfortable beds, gave us a great night's sleep on both nights.
The room was spacious enough with fluffy towels, a flat screen t.v., large wardrobe, bath with shower overhead and decent toiletries. It could have done with the furniture and bathroom being cleaned a bit better e.g. some mould on the bath and marks on the upholstery but apart from that it was good.
We ate in the restaurant on the first night. The food was ok, as was breakfast the next day though expect to wait for a table at breakfast if you eat at peak time as the brasserie is quite small.
The staff are extremely friendly, something that is becoming increasingly uncommon in UK hotels. They couldn't do enough to help and even offered to walk us up to a bar in Leeds that we were having trouble finding.
All in all it was a great weekend and we'd most certainly go back to the Mal next time we're in Leeds.
