We stayed at this hotel for a hen night.. The hotel was really dated and abit out of the way. The photo of it outside of the hotel, on their site, really shows the better side of the hotel. The lodge was miles away from the town centre and costed around ?15 - ?20 in a taxi. Walsend to me, is like a working shipping area of Newcastle, so not really ideal location for a hen night. Was in one of the larger rooms which they said was recently refrub'd but my room was fully carpeted right through into the toliet which was covered in stains. Also noticed loads of ants running about the carpet in the loo. 4 out of 9 girls fell in the shower as there was not a bath mat down. Some of the showers didnt work right. One of the girls chains fell down a plug hole in the sink as there was not a grate. Lost forever!! Some of the girls had to complain as their bedding was stained. My bed smelled of shake and vac, so dont want to really go into it too much. The breakfast was just toast and scrambled eggs. Was ok, nothing super! On the up side, the wather was really nice! Hope this is helpfull!!

I had to make a quick decision on where to stay in Newcastle. I read reviews about Hadrians Lodge Hotel and thought this was the place for me. The staff treated me as if I was family. The food was very good. I slept wonderfully. The Hotel was clean. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I tell all my friends about how nice my stay was and I plan on going back to Newcastle and I plan on staying there.
