We visited the Comfort in a group and were very well looked after, the staff could not do enough for us. Checking in was easy and efficiently done - does not always happen with coach parties.
Breakfast was good with freshly cooked English breakfast or there were cerials ect if you prefered.
Dinner was a basic Xmas dinner but well cooked and presented, staff were asking if we wanted more and were very efficient.
The room we has was comfortable & much larger than many UK hotels, we were in 304 . Only complaint was the walls are a little thin but beds and facilities are good.

Booked this hotel for a short break with myself and my wife, both in our late 30's, and decided a nationally known hotel would prove the safest best to ensure a clean and confortable hotel.
Stopped in room 101, which is ironic, because it needed sending to 'Room 101' (for those who have seen the tv program). No hot water available on the first night we stopped, according to the reception this was probably due to everyone using the water at the same time ..........yeah right! Rooms are very dated, bathrooms unsightly and falling apart, strange mold growths around the bath, carpet sticky, tv not tuned in poperly, hall outside smells of damp.
We also made the mistake of booking a 'deluxe' room...not sure what was deluxe about ours, other than it had an additional single bed in (suppose would come in use if me and the mrs had a fall out). The room also had an adjoining door to another room, which meant that any conversation or tv in the other room could be heard....and vice versa.
Service at reception was poor, took 40 minutes and 3 reminders to reception to use an iron.....oh and they dont answer the reception phone, on each occassion I had to walk down to reception to ask about where the iron was.
Service at the bar also poor, no one was ever serving and once again a trek was required to the reception to ask if it was possible to get a drink.
Breakfast however was pretty good (dependent upon which staff was on), with a good range available from the buffet.
We never ate there in the evening so cant comment on the food.
In short not worth the £75 a night we paid and wont be stopping again.
