Hortus details:
The pension Hortus lies in the heart of Amsterdam, only 15 minutes on foot from the central railway station and very close to Rembrandtsplein, the zoo and the famous Waterlooplein flea market. The property offers a free Internet Point, low seasonal rates, discounts on large groups and free coffee and tea all day long; you can also relax in the indoor entertainment room, equipped with a pool table, a big screen satellite TV, VCR and stereo system. The reception closes at 11 p.m.

About 5 minutes you get by shops/bakeries etc then another 5 to the edge of the red light district, clean and all you need for a short stay. . Read review
