Al Castello - Cento, Italy     

This hotel sits almost halfway between Ferrara and Bologna out in the country. In all honestly, most people would never find it on their own. There is nothing to do near here either. The hotel is older. The rooms are small by American standards but average by European standards. They come with bathrooms that have showers. There is no A/C either. The hotel does have a lift. Why they advertise as being a 4 star hotel is beyond me. The restaurant was pretty good, although their prices are a bit higher than in Ferrara. Breakfast was very good. The price for one night was 70 Euros, which I thought was high for what there was. The one thing I can realy say about this place was that it was clean. There were 10 of us in a party and not one of us complained about the rooms being dirty or finding anything wrong with the rooms. From the lobby to the top of the stairs this family run place is clean. Most people would never have a reason to stay here but if you do, don't expect much beyond a clean place to sleep and a meal.
