  • From the moment you enter the hotel and see the sweeping staircase to the excellent bedrooms you just begin to relax. We stayed in an Executive room for 1 night which was truly wonderful and then decided to upgrade to a Suite for the rest of the holiday. The suite was comfortable, quiet, spacious and beautifully decorated with your own butler. The breakfast buffet was excellent as were the restaurants. My only negative comment would be the pool and I agree with previous comments that it is a bit neglected and you need to go looking to order poolside food. Also, with two young children we found that the pool is not suitable for young children as it gets deep very quickly.. Read review

  • I can't understand how the previous poster can say the rooms are small when the smallest ones at the Imperial are 42 square metres compared with the Shangri-La's 40. As a matter of fact, before their recent refurb, regular rooms at the Shangri-La were quite ordinary. I have always found the staff to be excellent. The row of heritage restaurants and night spots directly opposite the hotel are beginning to create a buzz all their own and make it very easy to just step outside and enjoy a fine meal and a bit of evening diversion. I've always appreciated the decor of the Imperial's rooms. I've stayed in varying room types: regular, executive, club and suite, and they all share similar styling characteristics.. Read review

  • The service was outstanding and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The location is great with the monorail system only a short five minute walk from the hotel. We had a one-bedroom suite with wonderful amenities. There are also some great restaurants near by.. Read review

  • The Sheraton is pretty impressive and its location is great, right next to the monorail, which is very cheap and effective. Our deluxe room was very clean and huge and the bathroom was to die for, huge glass window overlooking the city. The breakfast buffet is pretty nice and full of variety. KLCC and a walking distance to KL tower, the restaurants in the hotel (tried the italian & the chinese) are delicious, as well as the restaurants outside the hotel, we tried the turkish resto around the corner, also very good.. Room and furnishings are of a very high standard. Try to get the corner rooms, which have a nice layout. I liked the location, because it is one of the few hotels where you can walk to both the subway and the monorail. Adjacent to the hotel is a street called "Asian Historical" which had about 15 really...... Read entire review
