We loved the Hideaway! Everything from the food to people were top notch. Hated to come home but are already trying to plan a return..

I honestly have never written a review before. I typically stay at more exclusive hotels (so I limit how much I travel because I am not rich, but prefer to limit it rather than stay at lousy hotels). This hotel was truly fantastic. The service is outstanding. The food is very good for an all-inclusive. No - it is not like eating in New York or LA every night, but neither are the prices. But it is very good. The hotel was very, very clean and the grounds well maintained. It is quiet, so a romantic, totally laid back getaway should be what you are looking for. There seemed to be some honeymooners, some retirees, a helping of 40 something gay couples, etc. But there were no single girls or guys if you are looking for a singles experience. The sand bags on the beach are unfortunate, but I didn't feel like they took away from the vacation at all. I suspect that if you have kids that want to body surf that would be tough, but for adults looking for a dunk in the Carribean, no problem at all. I was very, very pleased with this hotel and the staff. It is relatively pricey compared with nearby resorts, but there is no comparison.

Anyone who gives the Royal Hideaway less than 5 stars in an idiot. This place was everything you could ask for and way more. Great food, great pools/beach, teriffic staff and the best customer service we've ever experienced. We went for our honeymoon and have been trying to plan a trip back ever since. This place is the best!

The service was outstanding, the food was excellent, the room was very nice and the resort deserved the 5 DIamond rating. From the time we arrived until the time we left the service staff went out of their way to take care of our every need.
