The food was ok, don't do the inclusive package if you are not a huge buffet fan. The rooms were very nice, and the staff was very courteous.. Read review

If the buffet wan't your thing, a nice sit down meal was avaliable. The staff was very courteous and attentive to all our needs. But they do have dispensors of Bacardi, Jose Quervo, and Scoth and brandy in each room.. Read review

My husband, myself and kids, 22, 19 and 15 took two rooms December 23 thruough December 28 2004. For beachlovers, there are places to sit but you CANNOT go into the water at the hotel --too many huge rocks. On the good side, the rooms were huge and very, very clean as was the rest of the resort. The food was good and plentiful, the drinks good and plentiful, the service extremely attentitve. There are bathrobes in the rooms, and the maids make "Towel animals" every day. I had a problem with a toilet in my room.. Read review

Just got back on October 11th, This place was fantastic, great service. BUT if you are going to a place with the best pool, best beach sun palace is not your destination. The pool is the smallest of all the palace resorts. Cancun Palace had a great pool and a great beach so if you are looking for a beach and pool stay there. Moon palace sunrise pool is fabulous don't go to the other side or you will see european older ladies with no tops on.. Read review

I was there last week (April 18, 2009); it was the best vacation I ever had. The food was high quality, my husband loved the good liquor and the spa was magnificent. The hotel was clean, neat, beautiful, and the room was very romantic. It was worth the money, especially since all the tours to the Mayan ruins were included and the food in the tour too. Once you pay for the trip, you will not need any money and still have lots of fun everyday. Occurs tipping is greatly appreciated. I say the best part was the excellent service of every employee, they were the Fabulous!!!

We stayed at the Sun Palace late April 2009. Let me start by saying that the staff at the hotel was excellent. Always courteous, never intrusive. Everyone speaks perfect English. The guy waxing the floors one night went and got us fresh towels when he noticed that I was carrying a wet one down to the pool. Beverages were great. The margarita on the rocks with Sauza was particularly tasty. Food was pretty good. I have never really been all that impressed with hotel food. I would say that it was at least as good as any wedding hotel food that I have had in the states. My wife requested that I make specific note of the potatoes which were truly delicious in all forms. Lunch buffets were excellent. Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and grilled grouper with chips. Every day. With a margarita rocks. In the sun. For dinner I would avoid the steak place. The meat tastes like it was probably frozen for quite some time. Granted I only ate one steak on that one night so I cannot really comment on the overall quality of the steak restaurant but based on what my wife and I had I would not go back. The Italian place on the other hand was really pretty good. A meal like that in the US would run about $160 with a bottle of wine. Again, great service. Room service every AM was spot on. Showed up ontime every day. Coffee was great, as was the OJ. Anyhow, overall I give the Sun Palace a 4/5 stars simply because the ocean at this spot on the strip was so rough. Walk south on the beach about 1000 yards for a good swim.
My husband and I stayed at Sun Palace for our honeymoon. We had a fantastic time! The hotel staff was outstanding. They were extremly curteous and always willing to help with anything we needed. The best part was that when you stay at one Palace resort, you can play at all of them. Each day we visited, had dinner and drinks and used the facilities at each Palace resort in Cancun. The Moon Palace was by far the largest, but Sun Palace was absolutely perfect for us. It is the only one that is couples only. The rooms were amazing! Because we were on our honeymoon, we received 2 free honeymoon t-shirts. a bottle of wine with some fruit in our room and a bottle of champagne during turn down service. We also received a special Honeymoon dinner with our married names printed on our own special menu. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. I have been to Cancun 3 other times and have always stayed at a Palace Resort and they have always seem to exceed my expecations and this time topped them all. Palace resorts now offers shore excursions included in your stay which include the Wet-N-Wild water and fun park just down the road among many more. We can't wait to go back again! I will only stay at a Palace Resort! Oh I have to tell you the beds are so comfortable that I have never slept better in my life!

We were given champagne, flowers and promptly checked in.
Simply breathtaking! The views, in almost every room, are of the gorgeous blue water. The fridge was fully stocked. The flat screen and other amenities in the room make it feel like home, while the d?cor and hot tub separate you from your old reality. Take one step out on the balcony and you'll know you're in Cancun. It is simply amazing.
The doorman gives you a quick rundown of the ins and outs of the lighting, hot tub, room key, laundry send out, and maid lights.
The food is amazing. Always available, the room service is open 24 hours. Try the filet mingon at the restaurant downstairs. And hopefully you will hear a romantic song on the terrace.
When we went to the Isla Mujeres, we were pleasantly surprised to find a Palace Resort there also. So while you are perusing around the island, you can stop and get a drink, hop in the pool, and take a rest there. The staff at the Isla MUjeres is particularly pleasant. Also when you go to the Island, get a golf cart. And please,,,,its way more fun NOT to slow down on the speed bumps. It’s such a small town kind of place. It’s a taste of non-tourism Cancun. Catch the ferry early so you can have your golf-cart all day.
Try to get to all the other Palace resorts on the strip.
What a LOVELY place for a romantic getaway. Everyone is just in the mood for a good conversation over some delicious “Blue Lagoons.”
Take the bus! Its cheap. One night we had a man and his son sing Stand By Me. A memory I will never forget.
