Clean, Nice place for a family. We had a large 1 bedroom with a ocean view. Good breakfast. Nice beach with plenty of chairs. Becasue of its location it does not have a lot of waves which can be good or bad depending on what you want. Water may not get deep enough in the roped off area for some. Not full of "spring breakers"

The staff and front desk were helpful and courteous, the grounds were immaculate, and the free breakfast was a very nice perk - made to order omelettes daily. Loved the room and bathroom (we had the suite with the kitchenette) - very spacious. Also, hotel is conveniently located to a mini mart and the bus stop is right out front.
Had one okay dinner and one awful dinner with terrible food and terrible service.

Great Family Resort in Cancun, best beach

We just spent a week in Cancun at the Ambiance and everything went perfect. It is an older hotel and we are usually a little snooty about this, but the service at the hotel was fantastic, the beach was the best on the hotel zone, and the breakfast was great. We have 3 children and they loved the gentle waves that came in to the all white sand beach. The resort really has about the best beach are in cancun, and we walked up and down the strip most of the way. Also, we came during spring break, but we were not in the middle of partying college kids as the hotel is a bit off to one side and it was mostly all adults and families. I would not get the all inclusive, I do recommend you get the breakfast though.

Best vacation place!

Me and a few friends, 6 of us to be exact booked a 6day, 7 night stay here and we loved it. we ended up with the three bedroom three bathroom suite, it was perfect, and clean. the breakfast was good. and the beach was immaculate... on our last day it was stormy and there was a little bit of seaweed washed up and there were people cleaning the beach constantly. The staff were all really nice and the front desk was helpful. the maids were friendly and if u left a three dollar tip they even did the dishes, we didnt ask and they werent supposed to but they did anyway. we were close enough to downtown but far enough way to where it was quite. it was about a 10-15 minute walk and it was really nice at night. over all this place was great and i would love to stay again. ...we were all between the ages of 19 and 22... there were not many teenagers there which was nice, this was no "girls gone wild" spring break, and we were thankful for that.

Okay
I was fooled by the good reviews! No mas!

I booked this place based on the reviews and ocation. The beach is the best, they keep it clean daily. the one in front of O.V., two buildings down looks like an ash tray. The grounds are very clean and the room was clean. However, the shower door leaked, so I had to keep a towel there or water would run all the way out to the bed. The shower control would fall out of place(therefore, no warm water) without tying it up with string. They charged as much for a tub of ice as the market charged for 6kgs. The laundry cost 60 pesos ofr on round. I tipped the waiter the first day at breakfast and got no service the next day. Tips made no difference on service. The doors(adjoining and outside) are wafer thin so you get to hear every little thing going on nearby. One night it's a drunken quarrel or door slam, the next something else you don't want to hear(I'm omitting the details, too disgusting). Then the rain set in. Three days with no sun, another two with very little and high wind(no beach). I was ready to leave after the third day of rain. At the same time, a bunch of loud partyers moved in nearby. So no sleep either. One night the cops came, then left, then the party resumed. Hooray! This went on till I've never been so happy to get away. Front desk didn't want to give me a reciept for my stay because they didn't want me requestng a refund, no doubt. They at first gave me one showing my original check-out date until I called them on it. They were being intentionally deceitful. Timeshares were also being pushed with or without the man. knowledge, I'm not sure.
