What Travellers Like

  • Our room was nice, but everything else was a huge disappointment. The woman who checked us in, and who was usually at the reception desk, was consistently unhelpful and in fact seemed quite hostile to us from the moment we arrived. She offered no information about any of the hotel's facilties, and gave dismissive and contradictory answers to our questions. We had been friendly and polite, and have no idea what prompted her hostility. Apart from feeling very unwelcome, we also encountered a number of problems with the facilities and servicing of our room. On our first morning, the water supply to our room was cut and we were unable to take showers.. Read review

  • Most of the reception staff do have fair English though. For tourists who are claustrophobic you may want to use the stairs, as the elevators are small, cramped, and have a very small capacity. Bags are delivered promptly to your room/suite by the bell staff after check-in. The rooms are decorated very nicely with wood-finished furniture, and pretty curtains. Each room has a fridge (which can be filled up if you ask), a TV (it has CNN & BBC, unlike some other hotels in Morocco), (obviously) beds, a desk, dresser, closet space and an electronic safe (beware, the instructions are in French). The bathrooms are excellent (both for a hotel of its class, and Morocco), however there are no robes. There's a beauty parlor which offers many services including: haircuts, manicures and pedicures. There are also massages, facials and various water-related therapies. The complex also features an underground pool for a fee of 80MAD (approx. If you want to use a pool it will probably be this one, as the other is FREEZING COLD!. Read review

  • The staff were really helpful, especially "Layla" the reception girl. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the facilities were briliant. The food was fantastic, the breakfast was excellent and the dinner was very nice. The SPA was very good and the staff especially "Ghizlan" was very helpful and professional.. Read review

  • The rooms were clean, with a good view from the balcony over the pool although there were building works going on next door, but these couldn't be heard from inside the room. The spa below ground level was lovely (the signposting was a little confusing and we had trouble finding it at first) and I was able to experience an authenitic hammam for a reasonable price. We also made use of the indoor pool (at extra cost) because it was a little too cold to use the outdoor one. As for the distance from the medina, it is a fair walk (about 30 mins) but we enjoyed being able to retreat to the quieter side of town after the hustle and bustle of the medina, and petite taxis are only about a pound from the medina to the hotel..
