Sleepless night

This hotel needs to decide if it wants to be a hotel or a happening night-time hot spot. My husband and I specifically went to Lake Garda in order to wake up early and hike. Therefore, we wanted to go to bed early. However, with the music pounding and people yelling, it was tough to sleep. When I went down to talk to the people at reception I was told, "it is only 11:00". It should be up to me to decide if I want to be sleeping at 11:00 or up listening to or participating in a big party. They assured me that the bar would close at midnight and the noise would die down, which it did. However I was disappointed both with the situation and their reaction to my complaint. I realized the next morning that our room was directly above the bar, which probably accounted for the noise. When I asked to change rooms, however, they were unaccomadating. I will say that for 96 euro/night with breakfast and dinner included it is hard to beat the price. You will need a car to get to this hotel as it is outside of the city center and not near the Lake. A taxi to city center cost about seven euro.
