This hotel is way out of the center in the North-East of the city. It is a cheap stay if you have a rental car. Otherwise, don't stay there!
The rooms are ok. They are relatively clean, but have very cheap furniture and materials. Plastic walls in the bathroom are not such a good option as they are much harder to clean.
The hotel is cheap and has a rack rate of just 30LVL for a double/twin. Budget rooms with shared bathroom can be booked for 20 LVL.
WiFi is available throughout the hotel.

I have just come back from a night at Hotel Bergi. It was a pleasant experience. The rooms were basic and clean. I stayed in a twin economy room for 20 Lats per night (shared bathroom). I booked directly with the hotel for the best price. Included in the price is a great breakfast buffet with various breads, ham, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, tea, coffee, orange/apple juice, frankfurters, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs. Also, there were pancakes with a very sweet filling.
The hotel is located on a very busy road. Similar to an A-road or motoway even. Luckily, I saw the hotel's large signs on the left hand side of the road and pressed the stop button on the bus in time. You get off at the "Autoserviss" stop on buses no. 821, 822, 823, 824 or 826.
It took me ages finding the bus stop as none of the locals knew where it was! Basically, if you are on a budget or are worried about getting fleeced on taxi fare, the bus stop for the above buses is near the National Bus Station or Autoosta on Pragas Street (near to the market). To me, it is more like a coach station. Walk through the station and go past all the stops, then walk a bit further. There is a small newsagent/cigarette kiosk and the stop is just opposite this. These buses look like coaches but have the no.s clearly displayed. If you are still not sure, ask at the tourist information with the station - they told where to find the bus stop :)
