We have just returned from a week at the Caella Palace. their was nine of us in our party 4 adults ,5 children .The hotel was excellent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. Hotel was spotless staff very friendly staff were always cleaning up .lovely pool rooftop bar with jacuzzis and it was adult only ha ha.the lifts a bit slow, entertainment was a bit naff alright for small children.hotel was top class i had read some reviews before we went and was a bit worried ,but i need not have been .I do not know what some people expect when they go on holiday i think they just like moaning about something reminds them of being at home hotel was faultless and can not wait to book again next year

Don't worry about the negative reviews. This hotel is great. You've spent your money wisely, and will have a great holiday.
Calella Palace is a clean, friendly and extremely relaxing experience.
Drinks
----------------
Anyone saying they had a hard time getting a drink is flat out lying. Drinks in abundance. The local beer is great. Drinks at pool all day long. Pure bliss! haha! Remember to ask for a bottle of wine with your dinner/lunch. Saves you going up after every drink!
There is also an HTOP bar on the beach where you can use your all inclusive status up to 10pm, then its happy hour so you get 2 for 1 after that!
Food
-------
Good Selection. Various types of bread, salads, cold meats, fruit, and vegatables. Hot meals vary daily, with a selection including chicken dishes, pork dishes, fish, plenty of chips and potatoes and pastas.
Enjoyed my food every day, going up for seconds most days because of the choice.
I was there for a week and had no gripes. I would however, think that after two weeks it might be a little overkill.
Facilities
------------
Roof terrace was a god send! Very quiet, with no kids. Don't have to worry about putting a towel down early cause there are plenty of sun loungers.
Why people are moan about the lifts is beyond me. Wait two minutes and one will be there. If you can't wait that long then USE THE STAIRS! Geez.
Reception staff are very friendly looked like most could speak English, Spanish, German and Dutch.
Got a RoomSafe for 30Euros with a 10 Euro deposit.
Rooms are massive. Our twin room had TWO DOUBLE BEDS!
The walls are thin, as are every hotel in the area. Get a pair of wax earlugs for ?3 out of boots and that problem is solved.
Entertainment was a bit guff in the hotel but you can't complain. Kids loved it though. I was just getting stuck into the free booze and chatting to all the other people in the hotel. haha! Had a great time every night.
Resort
---------
Got the train to Barca for 6 Euros. What a place. A must for a day visit if you ask me.
Night life is OK. 'The white horse' just next door to the hotel is probably the best pub in the area if you fancy staying out after the All inclusive finishes.
I gave this 5 stars cause some people on here are moaning toooo much. But in reality 4 stars is a fair bet.
