Have just spent four days at the Hotel LLevant. Very impressed. The location was fabulous - right on the seafront of a little but very stylish resort. We had a superior double room with large terrace overlooking the sea - well worth the extra. Also had half board which was excellent value - good food made from fresh ingredients. Good service and selection of wine too. Hotel a family hotel (see other trip advisor reviews) which showed in the care they took of their guests and also the people who were their regulars in the bar. Went in the low season - think probably in the high season LLafranc may become full of the moneyed set from Girona and Barcelona - the place is very small really and I imagine it could get very crowded. The bedrooms were a little bit shabby but this was not a big issue at all - the atmosphere, views and general ambience made up for it all. It's definitely worth taking time to walk using the round coastal walks through Calella de Palafrugell to the botanic gardens at Cap Roig and the other way to the lighthouse. Would definitely recommend this and will be back!!

Lovely, unspoiled resort, not too twee and no high-rise. Stayed at Llevant for a week (not enough). This hotel has a long history and people been coming back for years, yet the hotel has a modern edge to it. Food is generally exceptional, linen napkins and silver service and great value. The owner/chef is committed to local produce and recipes. Rooms are spotless and ours on the top floor had a large balcony looking over the sea, worth the extra expense. Charming owners and v.v. friendly staff. Local wine at 8 euro in the restaurant and fab cafe terrace practically on beach. TV does have some English speaking channels AND they give you a beach towel every day, previous reviewer is wrong. I can't fault this place, it's a real find and super gin Martinis too!
