This hotel is easy to reach by taxi and from here the Old City can be reached by tram. The hotel is very clean, friendly personel and wonderful breakfast. Rooms are big, neat and very clean. Just a pity about the wooden floors that makes a noise when you walk.

You get what you pay for

Stayed for two nights with my 4 kids - had two rooms which worked out at 11 lats each for Bed & breakfast. Can agree with other reviews - location not great with nothing to do in the area but regular buses are close by to take you into the city centre. The walls are thin and the floors creak so the hotel does seem noisy. Reception was excellent - perfect english very patient and helpful especially with my kids using the hotel provided pc and internet. Rooms were clean and perfectly adequate for our requirements. Good choice of latvian food for breakfast. If you want a budget hotel and are an independent traveller then this hotel will meet your needs, and I cannot complain at the value for money. If though you want luxury and a good location then remember you will "get what you pay for".

Unsafe - fire exits were locked!

On arrival at the hotel we found that the fire exits from our floor were locked. We complained to the manager, only to be told that he didn't have a key, and "there won't be a fire tonight" It was too late to find anywhere else to stay, and clearly there wasn't a fire that night, but this attitude to safety is shocking. Don't stay at this hotel!

El hotel estaba limpio con un personal servicial. El chofer de microbús/guardia de seguridad era amigable y muy servicial. El resto del personal no era demasiado amable pero era bueno. Las habitaciones eran espaciosas y limpias. Un pequeño bar fantástico con una buena terraza afuera. Ubicado a 10-15 minutos en coche del aeropuerto y, también, al centro de Riga. Por el precio, es un excelente hotel en una buena ubicación.

Should be called 'Worst' hotel

This was without doubt the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. It is nowhere near the centre of town, contrary to what their misleading website states - at least 5 miles outside. They provide a transfer service but you have to pay 5 Lats - when we got a taxi back from town they only charged us 3 Lats so they overcharged for that service we feel. The walls must be made of paper, if anyone in the hotel moved, we heard it from our room. Got woken up several times during the night simply by voices. It doesn't help when the maids start hoovering above you at 8am when you're trying to get a lie in. No such thing as a lie in at this hotel. One lumpy pillow each, very basic room, sparsely furnished with office furniture which was strange. Breakfast was pretty bad too. The only positives about this hotel were the staff, they were friendly and helpful - not their fault the place has so many faults - and the rooms were clean at least. If you want somewhere really cheap which undoubtedly it is, then it will probably do the job, but we would advise you look for somewhere more central as there really isn't anything around this hotel of interest. If you do decide to go, make sure you get really drunk before you go to bed or you won't sleep much!
