Hotel Anda - Riga, Latvia 

Great Hotel

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while we visited Riga. It is on the opposite side of the river to the main attractions, but is only a 10 minute bus/tram ride away. The hotel was small, clean, tidy - everything you could want from a short break hotel. There is a restaurant and a bar but we didn't really use them as we went out both nights and didn't see anyone else in there either, apart from at breakfast. There's a TV in the room, nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, the receptionists all speak English well, and they organised a lift back to the airport for us as well. One thing I would say is that it advertises as a full English breakfast - well I can't remember the last time I had pancakes or cheese on toast for breakfast, but I'd recommend this hotel and would definately stay there again if I was ever in Riga.

Poor quality hostel type place, basically a corrugated prefab builbing built in the courtyard of disused warehouses in rough area Only suitable for stag nights or football trips looking somewhere to crash, cost £20 per night per person, substabtially better hotels available in Old Town for £25-£28 per night Do not take your loved one here for a romantic weekend !
