Asia Pattaya Hotel - Pattaya, Thailand 

On first sight the hotel could do with a coat of paint on the outside which would make it really standout amongst it's beautiful gardens and adjoining golf course. Hotel has it's own small beach below the cliff. The interior public rooms are really nice, cool spacious and very pleasant, choice of three restaurants including outside terrace. The bedrooms look a little tired although they are clean and spacious, the bathroom not over large but adequate, towels changed every day. Food very good and very plentiful. Drinks expensive ( except happy hour , two for one) but two convenience stores within 400 metres with good selection at a fraction of mini bar prices. Hotel at the sea end of a not too pretty road about 600 metres long. At no time though did we feel in the least bit uncomfortable walking this road even at night which we did to use the pay phones outside the hotel as the calls were very expensive from inside. We even saw somone cleaning the phones. The local people, dogs and chickens all very friendly. Hotel taxi very reasonable only 100Bahts into town, DONT try to walk this it is very steep and no pavements. Songtaews ply from outside the hotel but negotiate price first , cost should be about 200Bahts (?3) per vehicle. Take a hotel business card with you so that you can show the Songtaew driver the address in Thai. for the return journey. Journey time under five minutes. A few bars outside hotel where drinks are cheaper and most people not going into town congregate. Would stay here again

after 4 days in bangkok we arrived asia hotel , the class of hotel is 3 star a 70s deacade hotel , the hotel has a good view of pool& beach because the hotel is located in a roc and you can go to private beach from stairs , we enjoy the pool , and also the green ground of hotel, its near to Royal GardenShopping Center and also 1st beach road so you can go there by taxi about 100 baht, the desk was friendly but other staffs not, breakfast was enough like 3stars hotel , the doormen and other staffs didnt wear uniform dresses and seems to be tired ! elevator was very dangeour because the door closed so fast and so we must run to it, because of renovation you smell paint every where, the view of pool and golf court was very nice but windows was dirty its an old hotel and need alot of things for be a 4 star hotel
