Diana - Aosta, Italy     

This is a lovely hotel, good value for money, but only suitable for travellers with cars. I usually travel by train, and did arrive in Aosta by train - it was a 12 Euro cab ride out to the hotel, which is really not at all in Aosta. However, I was joined by a friend with a car, and it is a great location if you have wheels, with a good view of the town of Aosta and the mountains. Our window faced the mountains, and the view was very picturesque. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful - they spoke French as well as Italian; not much English though. Good breakfast buffet, delicious coffee. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds. Not luxurious furnishings, but more than adequate for a couple of nights.

Sono stato in molti alberghi in Val d'Aosta e questo è probabilmente il migliore per qualità e rapporto qualità/prezzo. È molto italiano, eravamo gli unici inglesi, e il personale non parlava molto inglese. È molto pulito e il ristorante serve specialità locali a prezzi bassi. Per esempio, un antipasto, primo e un secondo con vino costavano in tutto 16 euro.Non è ad Aosta, come molte mappe sembrano indicare, bensì in un piccolo villaggio chiamato Pollein. Ci torneremo.
