Reyes Catolicos City Center - Madrid, Spain     

We stayed at the Hotel Reyes Catolicos for 10 days while visiting central Madrid. The location is great, right across the street from the big San Francisco church, and near the ronda de Toledo. Easy walk to the palace, to Plaza Mayor, to La Latina and the Rastro, and even over to the Conde Duque barrio. The staff was freindly - we speak a little spanish and that helped quite a bit. The desk staff always greeted us coming and going, the cleaning staff were attentive to the 'do not disturb' when we were sleeping late, which was every day it seemed, and the cafe staff new our breakfast order by day three. The room was nothing terribly fancy, small room and a small double bed for two. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but not terrible. Bathroom was nice and large and very clean. All in all, great location, average comfort, and perfectly nice staff. Decent price, too, given the bad exchange rates for US travelers right now, at about 90$ usd per night on average.
