Hotel New Otani Tokyo details:
Feel the Japanese traditional aestheticism expressed through contemporary design. A unique hotel, surrounded by a spectacular 10-acre Japanese garden, in central Tokyo, located near "Ginza" and "Roppongi", Hotel New Otani offers all the relaxation, luxury and comfort you wish for. Full-height windows offer magnificent views of the gardens. A 101-shop arcade and a variety of restaurants and banquet rooms appeal to leisure and business travelers.
The rooms are gorgeous, and most have GREAT views. The service is excellent, as the staff will go to any length to make your stay the best. Outside, theres a beautiful garden, once belonging to the emperor of Japan, where people can walk through and feel at bliss. Also, theres a resturaunt in the hotel with a clear glass wall, so everyone can get a mezmorizing view of the garden.. Read review

The staff were extremely kind and helpful; the service was fantastic. The in-house restaurants offered a wonderful selection with great food in fantastic settings. The Japanese and Western Breakfast Buffet was especially good. Our room was on the next to top floor in the tower with wonderful views of the skyline, Akasaka Palace and the hotel garden and pool (closed for the season). It was, impeccable with a great king-size bed; high tech toilet, great bath and lovely tile work. In spite of its size it was a very friendly hotel. The only reproach I have is the long hallway from the main front desk to the tower, but this is to be expected when you consider the size of the hotel.. Read review

My eleven year old son and I spent three nights here (tower building, garden view), and loved it. An alternative: They have a coin-operated computer in the business center.. Read review

There is a fridge in the room for keeping anything ou bought from the supermarket. The garden is lovely and great to have a retreat to hand in such a busy city. I read on here about joining the Hotel club - it's free, but takes about a month for the card to arrive - if you do this you'll get entrance to small breakfast lounge with a view of Roppongi and Fuji - well worth it.. New Otani opened rooms with club lounge last year. The name of room is "Exective House Zen". People who stay at Zen have to insert card key in front of the door when they enter the club lounge and room. I stayed standard room(11th floor) overlooking Tokyo Tower. I think Exective House Zen is best room in Japan.
The corner room on an upper floor of the tower building was as large as any 4 or 5 star hotel room I have stayed in and well furnished. The bathroom was excellent in quality and size as well as with the toilet articles supplied. The sandwich luncheon buffet overlooking the lovely Japanese garden is worth enjoying but be early as there is a rush and the food starts to run out. Likewise highly recommended is a tea house in the garden and another sushi-type little restaurant hidden in centre of the garden.
