Hotel & Resort Capo La Gala - Vico Equense, Italy 

You won't get any closer to the sea than at the capo la gala (if you have a terrace or balcony room). With its maritime theme you feel like on a boat just without the seesaw. the location is fantastic and the views (to Capri, Ischia and Napels) and sunsets are breathtaking. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are on a high standard. Staff is very friendly and always gives you a smile. A few details should improve: room service should be better- we had to ask for toilet paper and shampoo because it wasn't replenished for two days; and the service at the pool is poor. The pool ist next to a a rocky beach with latters to get into the water. The restaurant offers the same fantastic views as the rooms and is a very romantic place to have dinner. Food is good; it tries to be more but isn't (the prices however are). All in all a very nice hotel in a great location to explore the bay of Naples.

This hotel is truly wonderful it has recently been refurbished to a very high standard ( i am very fussy and the rooms are fantastic)..if you like big balconies choose the classic room they are fab.. We visit Italy almost all the time when we take a holiday and very rarely eat in the hotel because the food around is always great, however on this occasion we ate almost every night in the hotel because the food was fantastic.... its not cheap but it is lovely.. if i had one complaint the hotel pool is a far too cold to swim in the owner should ditch the natural water theme and get it heated...
