2First of all, I know Venice is expensive...but if you're traveling in the summer months, you NEED a hotel with air conditioning if you don't want to shoot yourself...which I almost did when I stayed at this hotel. First off, Expedia made this hotel seem much better than it was (photos, description). We were supposed to have a ceiling fan -something we found out not 1 room has at this hotel. The sheets had burn marks and holes, and the safe barely fit our passports! The fire detector was unplugged (wired out for display) and the sweltering heat made our September stay unbearable. For $200 per night, we expected something that felt like more than a youth hostile. HOWEVER, it was conveniently located right next to the train station, and it was clean. When I heard of people complaining of bed bug bites, I realized things could have been much much worse than uncomfortable beds and being too hot.
