The room was too hot, under the roof, for 160 euro. The staff did not know how to help me with the temperature. There was a bar but always closed. Difficult or impossible to have a drink after 20h. I had to do my bed every night, because almost not done. The location is excellent, but, for the price, all un "peu cradeau".

J’avais oublié comme il avait l’air joli sur les photos, et lastminute le classait parmi les hôtels 4 étoiles, alors que c’est loin d’être le cas. De l’extérieur, il a l’air beau et a beaucoup de charme, et il est situé dans un quartier fantastique et calme. Mais à l’intérieur, il est en très mauvais état. Notre chambre était de très bonne taille, avec une jolie vue sur le pont au-dessus du canal. Par la suite, on a reconnu cet endroit dans le film Etrange Séduction (The Comfort of Strangers) avec Helen Mirren et Christopher Walken. Mais le lit était incroyablement inconfortable. En fait, c’était 2 lits mis côte à côte et mon mari se réveillait au beau milieu de la nuit coincé dans l’espace entre les deux lits. On s’est plaint à ce sujet-là, mais ils nous ont répondu qu’il n’y avait pas de lits doubles dans tout l’hôtel. On a très mal dormi pendant tout notre séjour, et bien qu’on était en décembre, il y avait encore des moustiques qui se baladaient – mon mari s’est fait piquer dans la chambre. Dans la salle de bain, il y avait une douche à tenir à la main – impossible de se laver les cheveux sans s’asseoir dans la baignoire ! Le petit déjeuner était encore pire. Pain rassis horrible, mortadelle pas très fraîche et fromage coulant. Café instantané horrible aussi – vraiment pas bon. On a eu des vacances merveilleuses, mais on passait la plupart du temps à l’extérieur de l’hôtel. L’emplacement était parfait. Aux vacances de Pâques, on retournera à Venise, mais pas à cet hôtel vraiment pas bien pour le prix.

all meals from breakfast until dinner which have been taken at theatre bar & restaurant just around the corner of the hotel have been excellent.

Great Location, but not recommended

Ah, it all looked so pretty in the photos, and lastminute rated it as a 4 star property......not true at all. From outside the Hotel is charming and pretty and in a fantastic and quiet location. Inside, it is very run down. Our bedroom was a great size with a lovely view over the bridge over the canal. We later recognised this location from the film The Comfort of Strangers starring Helen Mirren and Christopher Walken. However, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was 2 beds pushed together and my husband would wake up in the night down the gap between the two. We complained and were told there are no double beds in the hotel at all. We slept very badly the whole time we were there, and even though it was December there were stil mozzies around- husband bitten in the room. The bathroom had a hand held shower- impossible to wash your hair without sitting in the bath! Worse still was the breakfast. Terrible stale bread, tired mortadella and sweaty cheese. Awful instant coffee too- not good. We had a wonderful holiday and spent most of our time outside of the hotel anyway. The location was perfect. We are going back to Venice at Easter but would not go to that hotel again- very poor value for money.
