We were treated like royalty. Being greeted by name as our water taxi pulled up to the private dock was just a taste of the wonderful hospitality of Matteo and his staff. The rooms are fabulous, the location can't be beat, the breakfast is marvelous, but what made our stay truly remarkable was the attention we received from everyone at the hotel. We can't wait to return to the hotel. We were in Europe for 17 days and only stayed here for 1 night, but it was a highlight of our vacation. We were 7 people from teenagers to a grandparent and each of us was made to feel special.

We stayed at the Hotel Al Ponte Antico for two nights, and I did a ton of research prior to booking a hotel in Venice for our first trip to this amazing city. I read through all of the tripadvisor reviews, and read all of them for this particular establishment. As I browsed through each review, I thought to myself 'how can a hotel possibly have THIS many favorable reviews!". Well, as we checked into the Hotel Al Ponte Antico, this question was clearly answered. This was by far the most wonderful hotel experience we have ever had, and I actually felt a touch of sadness when we had to check out. Matteo and his staff are amazing people, and their hospitality are absolutely incredible. As far as the actual hotel, it is a palace - literally! We had a huge room without a view, but it was wonderful. The terrace of course is a delight, as were Matteo's omelets in the morning. It truely is a breathtaking hotel, and it puts a smile on my face thinking back to our (too) short stay there just one week ago. Believe the reviews - the hotel and staff are spectacular!!!!
