San Marco Palace - Venice, Italy

We just returned from a 3 day stay @ San Marco Palace suites and enjoyed the location and the room we had. The breakfast was ok, everyone in our party was happy with the choice and quantity. Our room and bathroom were clean. I agree w/ other posts the bed and pillows were hard, but we slept anyway we were exhausted from heat, humidity, and travel. The location was great and our overall experience was very good. We did get conflicting answers on getting to the airport from the day and night staff. We found the night staff more willing to help and more pleasant overall.

we booked 2 rooms and one of them with separate beds as we were a total of 3 gentleman for business travel from korea. First they show a room with 1 double bed after a sorry they take as back to reception an wait to have the key of another room but once we got in this room...again one single double bed...at the end we accepted to sleep in that room where they have separted the double room in 2 single bed but situation was really embarassing considering that on our venere reservation were very clear that we need separate beds as a total of 2 rooms and total of 3 business man. Location is very good but sorry the service and organization is not as display on the web site.

While the location of this hotel couldn't be beat, the service was a little sketchy. Front desk staff spoke english, but seemed to want to rush you through your requests, or try to push you off to the next shift. The room was nice and big with a kitchenette and lots of closet space, but the bathroom was plain weird... almost like a hospital bathroom. Warning, ladies, the hair dryers are those types with the hoses attached to the wall, it will take an hour to dry your hair. And, there's a weird odor in the hallways and we could tell that our room at one time used to be a smoking room. We brought a few smelly candles so that helped in our room. The free breakfast is very nice, and so convenient. Again, the location is right on San Marco Square, so it's definitely great to be so close to all that Venice has to offer.

We found the hotel absolutely perfect with more room than we were expecting. Breakfast was great. Environment extremely quiet - good for sleep.
