3This hotel is only about 500 feet from the train station, making it easy to get to. On the outside, it is modest and easy to simply walk past as it sits amongst the many look alike touristy souvenir stands. Once inside, it becomes another story that one can best liken to the scene where Dorothy opens the door of her house to discover she's in munchkin land. It is a large, beautiful, immaculate old world style hotel with a dedicated and concerned staff that offers first rate service (thank you Alessandro) The rooms were small, but squeaky clean and tastefully decorated. The bathrooms were surprisingly quite large, plush and very well done in marble, chrome and ceramics. The breakfast room is an excersize in elegance; the mix of hot and cold selections were excellent and a great way to start your day. Just outside is large terrace, with an amazing view of grand canal, perfect for a liesurely meal or that late night bellini. I would go back in a heartbeat.
