Okay
Great hotel, excellent location!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights from 21st April 2006 and loved the cosiness and location. We were very lucky to be upgraded from standard room to a suite - so maybe this added to our love of the hotel? Hotel is located just minutes from the vaporetto stops of San Stefano or San Samuele and a very lazy 10min walk to either Rialto Bridge or San Marco (2min walk to Accademia Bridge). The Junior Suite size was fantastic (especially after our cramped quarters in Paris) and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Only suggestion would be to install a small bar fridge in the room. Breakfast is continental (ie. breadrolls, croissants, jams, coffee/tea etc), but enough to tide you over for a lunchtime pizza or gelato! Hotel staff were great and very friendly - Guiseppe (front desk manager) dealt with all requests (via email or in person) very quickly and pleasantly. The deli/corner store below the hotel was lovely & reasonably priced for drinks and other supplies. The location is ideal as it's away from the hustle & bustle of San Marco and Rialto Bridge but close enough to be a part of it if you wished. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed for 3 nights from 8th April. If you like small, quaint hotels this is definitely the place to stay in Venice. Great position, exceptionally clean rooms and the service was excellent. Giuseppe, the Sales Manager, on reception was always very helpful. We booked by email which was dealt with very efficiently. We took advantage of booking Alexandria from the hotel - the only female gondaliera in Venice. We went early evening at 7.30pm and it was the icing on top of the cake. We will certainly go back again.

Never got to stay here!

The hotel was in a great location and looked small and cosy. However when we turned up just before the busy Easter weekend there was a 'problem' with our room and our reservation could not be guaranteed. We can only speculate as to if this was a double booking or not but there seemed to be plenty of other people staying there! Be warned..... The other hotel we stayed in turned out to be nicer and cheaper in the end!

Nice hotel, good location

This is a really nice, friendly establishment. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, (for the amount of time we spent in them anyway), bathroom was a decent size and both it & room were very clean.Air con was good & quiet which was handy cos a bit noisy ( not excessive though) to leave the windows open.Breakfast was adequate, nothing special.Usual continental fayre. Great location & had the vaporetto not been on strike on the day we arrived, which meant we had to lug our luggage from the Rialto bridge, which in 90 degree heat is no picnic, I would have no criticisms at all. Getting to the hotel absolutley shattered & boiling and finding no lift, which meant having to carry our own cases up all the stairs was not fun. Had we been able to get off at the Academia bridge this would not even be an issue. So I would say stay here it's a nice place but not if getting up & down stairs is a problem.

We booked this hotel based on Rick Steves' reccomendation and stayed there for 2 nights in January 2006. This hotel met our expectations. As everyone agrees, the location is superb, within a 2-minute walking distance of the vaporetto stop and very close to everything that Venice has to offer. The staff is nice and friendly (special thanks to Giuseppe who takes his job very seriously). The room (a double) was fairly small but clean. Basic breakfast, nothing to complain or brag about. All in all, we will definitely stay there on our next trip. For the sake of full disclosure, here are a few minor problems we encountered during our stay: (1) the boiler in our room was probably too small as we once ran out of hot water during the morning showers and (2) they forgot to give us clean towels but immediately complied with our request.
